Synthetic Grass

Synthetic grass (Tennis and Sports facility)

Multisport Concepts is a fully independent organisation, which allows us to select the best possible products for our customers from a wide range of suppliers.

There are two main types of tennis or sporting facility synthetic grass

Polypropylene – the former standard grass but now only preferred in limited application.
Polyethylene – the latest technology and offers safer play, more durability and is the standard specifications for organisations such as FIFA.

Multisport Concepts recommends Polyethylene.

Synthetic Grass is suitable to be laid on:

  • Stabilised Roadbase
This tennis court delivers a softer court to play on. Roadbase construction is generally the best value for money especially with our engineer designed courts.
  • Concrete
This system has been used for many years and is the most common construction method used throughout Australia. This combination offers a slightly more rigid structure that is suitable for specific sites. It has a higher cost than road base and is firmer to play on.
  • Asphalt
This combination is very similar to concrete although softer to play on but maybe limited by access, soil conditions and availability.
  • An old clay court
This is an effective way to refurbish an older clay court or granite based court. We stabilise existing clay / granite base, reset levels and cover with new synthetic grass for a completely new court

Options and Enhancements

  • Coloured Sands
These products allow you to dress up or personalise your investment to match your décor or landscape. These sands produce a highly professional finish and optimise the finish of the synthetic grass.
The green sand on green grass or terracotta sand on terracotta grass truly do look fantastic.
  • Two Tone or Coloured Grass
This allows a more personalised court finish. The two toning provides a better definition of in or out of play.
