Futsal – 5 a side soccer
The name FUTSAL comes from the Spanish / Portuguese word for “soccer” futbol, and the Spanish / Portuguese word for “indoor”, salon.
It is Soccer game played between 2 Teams with 5 players a side.
Courts varies between 25m to 42m in length and 15m to 25m in width for a standard pitch with 18m to 22m for an international pitch.
However Multisport Concepts recommends utilising your multipurpose court for this sport and therefore recommend a size if 15m by 28m.
Adding a futsal pitch can vastly improve the usage of your multipurpose court.
As seen in this photo, 5 a side synthetic grass soccer field are the latest sport to hit the school ground. With this surface the kids can play in a safe environment
