Hockey

Hockey first adopted synthetic turf for the Montreal Olympics in 1976 and rapidly became the surface of choice. Like other field sports Hockey surfaces went through a number of evolutions including the “wet field” which is still very popular at professional levels. More recently there has been developments such as sand dressed pitches which provide similar playing characteristics without the need for water.
