The latest news in synthetic grass is its implementation in AFL.

The AFL has approved play on synthetic turf for levels 4 and 3.

It has taken many years of development and thanks to the University of Ballarat, the AFL now has standard based on meeting a 12-part criteria. These tests include a critical fall height test, abrasion tests, hardness, friction, heat, rotational traction, player impact forces and ball rebound and roll.
