Hard Tennis Courts Rebuild – Dayboro Tennis Club
The original courts suffered badly in the 2011 floods and need extensive rebuilding.
The funds were obtained thanks to the efforts of Tennis QLD, The QLD Government and the efforts of the club.
The old tennis hard courts were demolished and replaced with two new acrylic hard tennis courts, finished in 2 tone blue Dulux Tru-Flex. The new hard tennis courts have been raised and built on a concrete slab a design which offers far better flood resilience than teh old asphalt courts.
Multisport Concepts had the court pace tested by Acoustoscan to ensure we deliver the desire performance parameters. We were delighted to achieve a medium slow or pace rating 2. Please see our post on Court Pace Ratings for the result on “in the field” testing on this product.
The courts were due for a grand opening in late April but yet again the unseasonal QLD weather put pay to that. The courts were formerly opened some months later and the turn out was fantastic. It was truly rewarding for everyone to see so many people from all age groups and walks of life enjoying the new facilities.
